October 11-12, 2003
Day 1:
"Team Magic Hat" had a great day on the water. Winds started around 10-15 and built throughout the day. We had pretty good starts but just couldn't keep out in front of the fleet. The first race was just an embarassment (8th). We recovered with a respectiful 5th in the next race followed by 6, 7 and finally another 5th. We ended the day 6th out of 9 for the day.

Day 2:
No racing! Dang. The winds are in excess of 25 knots. By 11am, the race committee has called the race. By noon, several J-24s, including "Magic Hat" are heading toward the locks to make the trip back to Leschi... and a very wild ride (need to type this up later).

October 11, 2003 Geoff & Allison sign the closing papers for the new house. Only a couple days more...

October 15, 2003 Allison & Geoff have a new home! It's final!

October 24, 2003 Moving day! Allison & Geoff move into their new home.

October 31 - Happy Halloween! Allison is at home handing out candy when Swedish calls and asks her to come in early. Seems that even the unborn know when it is time to go trick-n-treating! Geoff is at work for MS's family halloween festivities. He gets home around 8PM to hand out candy to another couple of kids.

October 31-November 2, 2003 Geoff was supposed to race with "Team Magic Hat" in the Seattle Yacht Club's (SYC) 2003 Grand Prix Invitational. Team Magic Hat qualified for this honor by participating in several SYC event where they finish in the top three. Because of the damage caused back on the 12th, Brian (the captian of "Magic Hat") decided to end the season early and have the team take time to recover.
